Why Sedation Dentistry
Sedation Dentistry is simple and safe. Your dental health is super important and should not be neglected because you are nervous. Sedation provides you a way to get your dental work done while being completely comfortable and relaxed during the appointment.
Sedation works through the use of various oral sedatives and gas sedatives.
To be clear, sedation is NOT general anesthesia.
Sedation allows you to be conscious and responsive.
During the procedure, you will feel sleepy and relaxed.
You will be able to express your needs and wants during the appointment.
Our trained staff will monitor you throughout the appointment with pulse oximetry and blood pressure.
Someone will be with you throughout the entire appointment.
One advantage of sedatives is that they are amnesiacs – you will have very little or no memory of the appointment.
The sedatives used are amnesiacs – you will have little or no memory of the experience.
You will need someone responsible to stay with you until the following day as you will continue to feel the relaxing effects after the appointment.
